5th July
Just got home from airport. Stopped at good friend Clive's home who was hosting a wake for a very good friend and the most perfect gentleman David who passed away a few days ago (his bother in law). Some alcohol was consumed and memories shared.
Was very nice to meet Glen and Nancy in Terceira. Very accomplished sailors both. I just dont know how Glen will find time to build a Setka with his fantastic views from his workshop.
He has his lofting done and sourced his ply locally. He has even done a computer generated lofting and 3d model of the hull. Smart cookie and I can learn a lot from him. Im old school with a hammer and nails and a Yankee screwdriver but moved on to a battery drill. He has built many epoxy boats as well as aircraft and used to fly his own planes. Retired US military with balls full of fire!!
Back to tiling my sisters patio tomorrow morning. (humble pie)
